Rosemary is about 2 1/2-3 months old. She was very weak and thin when we bought her due to not eating for at least 6 weeks, which I didn’t find out until the next day when I called for her feeding record. I searched online for ways to get her to eat… we tried braining, dipping pinkie in chicken broth, putting her in a lunch bag overnight with pinkie, waiting for hunger… nothing was working and she was quickly becoming emaciated. Finally someone mentioned cutting the head off the pinkie. Success! After 3 headless feedings 5 days apart…. she became a professional eater! She now knows what to do and has practically doubled in length in just a few weeks along with a skin shed. Our tame (or rather weak) snake now has a personality In regards to using a feeding cage. This is controversial, so I thought I would share my 2 cents. We were advised to use a feeding cage so the snake wouldn’t become territorial. After reading online that most snakes can feed in their cage, I decided not to use a feeding cage, but rather a specific feeding bowl in her cage to make it easier for other people to feed the snake without handling her. Once we found out or snake was a “non-eater”, I used a critter cage so she could focus on the eating task. After her first few feeds, she quickly learned what the cage meant… time to eat. She is smarter that I anticipated and now associates hands with handling and feeding cage with eating. A bit safer for her 9 year old owner.

This is a mini envelope tag album made with leftover scraps of halloween papers from last year. I used a template for the envelopes and tags and also made tags with my cricut using the Tags, Bags & Boxes cartridge. Lastly, the exciting part was that I created mini envelopes made out of the brown paper lunch bags which I though was very cool idea!
